A story of affordability in Seattle..and Springfield.

Redfin’s stories are great. They raise the real estate marketing bar.

You can tell from that post that these agents know their neighborhoods. Is there an equivalent neighborhood in Eugene?

What about some areas of Springfield? Is it unfair to exclude Springfield from this blog? No longer.

Springfield is full of lively parks where kids can play. New businesses. A new hospital or two. A new regional kids sports center.

So in the coming months look for a few posts about Springfield properties. Like this one.

Interesting article - here in Charlotte, there are lots of neighborhoods that in the past were deemed “undesirable”, but as housing in certain areas gets more expensive, people are discovering just how great these hoods are.

Thanks for your post Erin. It seems as if there are always a few market movers in former “undesirable” neighborhoods that kickstart house appreciation. A dozen remodels done in a single neighborhood, maybe by serial remodelers, and suddenly long time residents of those neighborhoods have enormous equity and can remodel their homes or move up the real estate ladder. Some are squeezed out, but not the residents who’ve invested many years in the neighborhood.
